Big Rocks Presents - Small Groups: An Evening of Inspiration
April 26, 2019
7:00pm – 9:00pm
Location: 1300 Shermer Road, Northbrook, IL 60062Category: Fellowship Education | Coordinator: Emily Taylor
Did you know that the Village Church has over 45 small groups who regularly get together for various purposes? Dr. Judy Stack, a consultant with Church Innovations who holds a Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary, will show us how re calibrating these groups using well-researched and tested principles will make them the key foundation for joining God’s mission in Northbrook and beyond. This is one of the first big steps we are implementing to help us recalibrate as a church.
Come to Fellowship Hall for coffee, dessert, and fellowship from 7:00 – 9:00 pm on Friday, April 26, and catch the vision for how our small groups can strengthen and expand our effectiveness as a church. RSVP to Emily Taylor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
More about Church Innovations:
The Church Innovations Institute is a non-profit organization that conducts research and provides consulting that innovates the church's capacities to be renewed in God's mission.
Many local churches feel that something is wrong, something is missing. They don't look the same; they don't have the same energy or resources. They look for easy fixes, but none prove lasting.
Church Innovations has been working for 30 years to help churches work through the "not right, something's missing" feeling and help them respond to what is happening. God is always at work in God's mission in and for the world; when a church finds their part in that mission, they find calling, purpose, and renewed energy.
