Mexico Mission Trip
June 10, 2019 to June 16, 2019
All DayCategory: Youth Missions | Coordinator: Ed Burton
The Senior High Youth are joining God’s mission in Mexico this summer. We are not only engaged in our neighborhoods around us but the greater neighborhood around the world. We're a people on mission, and the youth are stepping out in faith to go to Mexico on mission. We have 9 people committed to going on this trip already, and there is space for more ... perhaps you!
As in years past, the Village Church is partnering with long-time Village Church member and mission partner Todd Luke and the Mission Center in Xpujil, Mexico. Pastor Spencer will be leading this trip!
For four days we will help local Ch’ol Indian Presbyterians build cisterns. Xpujil is in the southern part of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. With no stops, it’s a five hour drive from Cancun. We’ll fly into Cancun International Airport and from there we will be driven by Todd Luke to Xpujil.
The cost per person out of pocket is $500. A $250 deposit is due by April 4 to secure your spot. An informational meeting regarding next steps where you'll meet the rest of your Mexico mission team will be happening on April 7 at 2:30 pm in the Youth Room at church.
In addition to the individual cost that covers the week in Mexico, all trip participants will need to take part in fundraising efforts between April and June. All money raised will be given directly to the Mission Center in Xpujil.
