A Warm Welcome to the Village Church!
After a long and rich history in the Northbrook community, just completed a year-long Mission Study to prayerfully discern what it means to continue to thrive into the future. Watch the video about our new vision! There could not be a better time to come along on the journey of living as disciples of Jesus Christ in the 21st century.

We look forward to your visit! Here is some information I hope will be helpful to you.
Watch our Welcome Video to learn more about our church family and its many ministries!
When are your worship services?
We offer a 9:30 am Contemporary service and an 11:00 am Traditional service. By far the best way to get a feel for our two worship services is to watch our Welcome Video. You can also watch video recordings of all our recent sermons.
Here is our Sunday schedule for infants through adults concurrent with both our worship services:
- Adult Sunday School 9:30 & 11:00 am
- Children's Sunday School (Childcare/Nursery through 5th grade), 9:30 & 11:00 am
- Junior & Senior High Sunday School Junior High: 9:30 am; Senior High: 11:00 am
We occasionally offer special Sundays: our next one is June 11, with one combined 10:00 am "blended" service. Childcare/Sunday School for infants-5th grade will be offered at 10:00 am also.
What about my kids?
Please stop at the Welcome Center desk on the main floor where a friendly person will be happy to direct you to all of our children's and student ministry locations during the 9:30 and 11:00 am services.
- You’ll find the infant nursery, toddler and Pre-K classes easily accessible just around the corner from the Welcome Center, with classes for 1st -5th graders upstairs. (Of course, children are always welcome in our worship services as well!)
- Our 6th -12th grade students meet downstairs; please ask at the Welcome Center.

Where do I park?
Although the church has no official parking lot, parking is available in the shopping center behind the church building along Cherry Lane and also in the Sunset Foods shopping center parking lot across the street.
Three handicapped parking spaces are provided in the circle drive on the south front of the church building, and five along the alley fence north of the building (on Sundays only). There is also a church Handicapped Parking spot on the west side of the church.
How do I enter the building?
There are two entrances, on both the north and south sides of the building. Click here to consult our Campus Map.
From either entrance, you will walk up some stairs to reach the sanctuary/worship center. Greeters at each outside door will direct you. An elevator is available at the north entrance as well; ask the greeters at the door to guide you.
What do I wear?
No matter what your personal style is, we want you to feel comfortable at the Village Church. A majority will be dressed in some version of "business casual," although you’ll see some men in coats and ties and others quite informal. Please watch our Welcome Video to get a feel for a typical Sunday morning.
What if I have special needs, like a crying baby or need a listening device?
We desire to create a safe and friendly worship space for all of our guests and members. Our services are live-streamed in both the infant nursery room and the lobby right outside the sanctuary, which also offers comfortable seating if you need to leave the service.
For those who need them, Listening Devices are available from the ushers, as well as large print bulletins.
Can I meet the Pastor?
Absolutely! We look forward to meeting you! We offer regular Welcome Brunches to share a little about our church community with you. At a brunch, you will meet our pastors as well as other guests like yourself. But don’t wait for a brunch—take an opportunity to say “hello” to the pastors during the Coffee Hour after worship.
