THE VILLAGE KIDS
“Rooted in Love, Growing in Faith”
At The Village Church, we are committed to helping each child take the first steps on a life-long journey with Jesus Christ. Our mission is to make The Village Kids (ages 6 weeks to 5th grade) a place where children can discover who God is through His stories in the Bible and grow in their personal relationships with Him.
We are committed to partnering with families to help children grow in faith. In addition to The Village Kids’ Sunday morning programs, we have Kids’ Choir and Kids’ Bell Choir with musicals during the Christmas and Lenten seasons. We also offer family Mission Opportunities, times when groups of families come together to serve in the local community. Family Game Nights and Quik Stops are fun, family-focused events that celebrate fellowship and sacred partnering with other families. Our largest community outreach, Vacation Bible School, has shared the Gospel with children in local communities for more than 20 years.
(6 weeks to 24 months)
The nursery is a special place where babies and toddlers can learn, play, and grow in an environment created just for them. Caring staff and volunteers create a warm, loving atmosphere for little ones to enjoy while Mom and Dad attend services and other events.
The nursery is well-equipped with age-appropriate furniture, toys, books, and other supplies. It’s the perfect place to play with other kids, listen to a story, or cuddle in a rocking chair with a grown-up friend. There’s always something fun to do!
(2’S and 3’S)
Each week in our 2’s and 3’s class, kids explore a Bible story through Deep Blue, a curriculum that engages kids and keeps them excited about what they are learning. Our volunteers and staff guide the class through a variety of fun activities and lessons that foster each child’s desire to be active, curious, and eager to explore. There is plenty to see and hear, and even more to do in our 2’s and 3’s class!
Kids are ready for our Pre-K & K class in their last year of preschool. Here kids encounter new challenges and adventures every day, while exploring the Bible in Sunday School. The 4’s and 5’s dive deeper into Deep Blue, learning more about God’s unconditional love for them. The class includes group activities, exploration, and Bible stories as well as music. Each child takes home a one-page review, so parents and families can be part of the faith journey, further deepening their relationship with God.
In The Treehouse, classes also use Deep Blue, a curriculum that engages kids and families to grow together in faith. Each class starts with a large group time of singing, story-telling, Bible education, group discussion, and a focus on mission and prayer. The children are divided by age into smaller groups for special activities related to the lesson and Bible story of the day. Each child takes home a one-page review, so parents and families can continue their child’s faith journey at home.
