The Chicago Eagles –The Chicago Eagles are committed to sharing the message of Jesus Christ through the environment of soccer through four different ministries: camps, local ministry events, international tours, and teams. The Chicago office began 1997, with the vision of working primarily with collegiate and high school athletes. Though a variety of programs, our goal is to train and equip young men and women as sports ministers. We also work alongside partners throughout the world, assisting with training seminars and outreach programs. In addition to supporting the Chicago Eagles with our mission support, our church hosts a soccer camp every summer in Northbrook. For information about our next Soccer Camp, contact Emily Forslev.
Exodus World Service - Throughout the year our Deacons deliver a number of Welcome Packs to newly arriving refugees in the Chicagoland Area. Our members are asked to bring in donations to help set up a refugee family’s new household. Click here for a pdf version of items included in a Welcome Pack. Family Life Development Foundation - Rev. Younan Shiba is a Presbyterian pastor of Iraqi descent who is supported by the Village Church and director and founder of the Family Life Development Foundation. His vision is to bring together Arabic and Assyrian speaking refugees and immigrants, for the purpose of teaching and supporting one another, using principles of God’s word.
Helping Hands - Volunteers are needed periodically to help our members with certain odd jobs around the house that they can't do on their own, from cleaning out gutters, basements and garages, to moving furniture, to yard work, to simple repair. If interested in helping, click here.
A Just Harvest Soup Kitchen - On every 4th Wednesday we cook a meal for A Just Harvest Soup Kitchen and we serve it the following evening on the fourth Thursday of every month. For further information about volunteering contact Deb Valkenaar.
Northfield Food Pantry – Throughout the year on the 1st Sunday of each month, our Deacons sponsor a food drive to benefit the Northfield Food Pantry. Food items, cash, or checks made out to TVPC Food & Funds may be placed in the green "Food & Funds" envelopes and deposited either in the collection plate or in the jar in the shopping cart in the Narthex. South Asian Fellowship – Rev. Samuel Akhtar is a Presbyterian pastor of Pakistani descent supported by the Village Church. His mission is to build Presbyterian fellowship of Pakistani Christian immigrants in the Chicago area. Currently, the South Asian Fellowship worships on Sunday afternoons at First Presbyterian in Deerfield, IL.
