Caring Ministries

It is our desire that every member of the Village Church receive the care and support they need during difficult times in their lives.  TVPC offers a wide array of Caring Ministries to meet the many needs of our members.

Career Resources Ministry - The deacon sponsored ministry helps those who are unemployed or looking for new employment.  Various events are held at our church as well as throughout the surrounding area.  For more information, contact Rob Bullock.

Meal-On-Wings - This ministry prepares and delivers home-cooked meals to people at all stages of life who could use the extra support.  Meals-On-Wings is offered to individuals, couples and families going through a wide range of life experiences, from celebrating the birth of a new-born, to experienceing job loss, to recovering from a surgery.  If you are interested in this ministry or have any questions, please contact deacon Pam Hartigan for more information or to sign up.

Helping Hands -If you or someone you may know is in need of a helping hand with various odd jobs around the house including; yard work, tidying basements and garages, moving furniture and simple repairs, then contact Rob Bullock or Laurie Landman and let them know of your specific need.

Stephen Ministry - Stephen Ministry is a program which provides distinctively christian one-to-one care to people experiencing a variety of personal difficulties.  Stephen Ministers have been trained in caring ministry skills and work in conjunction with the Pastoral Staff of TVPC.  If you are interested in meeting with a Stephen Minister or would like to know more about the program, please contact Jackie McDowell.

Prayer Shawl Ministry - This team meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.  If you knit or crochet you can contribute to this ministry and enjoy the company of other talented ladies.  The Shawls are prayed over and distributed to those in need of comfort.  For more information contact Joan Solem or Sue Kish.

Hospital and Home Visitation – Our pastors are available to visit members in the hospital or home. If you know you are going to have surgery or are hospitalized unexpectedly, please notify our church office of the medical facility where you are receiving care .

Bereavement Ministry – The Pastoral Staff is available to meet with families grieving over the loss of a loved one, and also to help with funeral or memorial services.  Please contact our church office for more information.

Prayer Ministry – TVPC currently offers prayer support in two ways. Members can have their prayer requests printed in the weekly Prayer List which is circulated to our members for prayer, or members can provide the Associate Pastor with prayer requests to be shared privately with staff members who routinely pray for our members during their Tuesday morning staff meetings.

Pastoral Counseling – TVPC’s Pastoral Staff is available to meet with you to provide support, spiritual counsel and prayer.  Please contact our church office for more information.
